Rising Treetops and the Covid-19 Pandemic

As of September 2021, Rising Treetops resumed its overnight respite program with some modifications due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2022 Summer Camp returned to a mostly pre-pandemic session schedule and activities, and 259 campers attended the six sessions held from mid-June through Labor Day weekend.

As a result of the continued COVID-19 variants and the need for booster shots for our clients and staff, as well as having challenges hiring vaccinated direct care workers willing to quarantine and live at our facility, we will be holding only 7-night and 5-night overnight respite sessions from September 2022 through early June 2023.

These sessions have limited slots and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.  All ages and disabilities will be considered for placement in all sessions.  Please contact Donna by email at respite@risingtreetops.org or by phone at 732-531-0215 for more information.

Please know all staff at Rising Treetops are fully COVID-vaccinated and as of January 31, 2022 all staff eligible for a COVID-vaccine booster shot has received them. Since June 2021 we have required all clients at Rising Treetops to also be fully COVID-vaccinated. In addition, as of February 12, 2022, all clients must also have received a COVID-vaccination booster shot, if booster shot-eligible, before arriving for a camp or respite session.

By January 2023, Rising Treetops will announce its plans and 2023 Summer Camp session schedules.

While all day services are suspended through May 31, 2022, Rising Treetops resumed its 2022 Summer Day Camp starting on June 18, 2022, and is re-opening its after school/day respite program in late September 2022. For more information on our 2022 day services, please email info@risingtreetops.org or call 732-531-0215.

The dates and details can be found on the Registration – Calendar section of this website.

We hope you and your loved ones are faring as well as possible during this challenging time.

Note:  If you are not aware, Rising Treetops’ overnight respite, after school and summer camp services have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As of March 20, 2020, except for a long term emergency respite service, we suspended all other planned overnight respite and day programs, and subsequently extended the suspension of services to include our 2020 Summer Camp and all but our emergency services until June 2021 when we opened a modified limited summer camp program. All overnight services returned to pre-pandemic levels and structure by September 2021 and by September 2022 all services have reopened.  Our services are provided to children and adults with special needs, including autism and physical and intellectual disabilities.
