On July 12, 2025, Rising Treetops at Oakhurst held our 19th annual Summer Benefit. With nearly 200 guests and 49 event sponsors, the benefit raised $235,000 (and counting) for Rising Treetops at Oakhurst’s mission.
Special guests included NJ Assemblywoman Dr. Margie Donlon, who announced that Rising Treetops at Oakhurst was awarded recently $100,000 in the NJ State Budget. The funding will support a cabin renovation to help Rising Treetops increase the number of clients served in our Life Experiences And Practical Skills (LEAPS) program.
Client Jonathan Cotto addressed the audience, noting his years of experience in visiting and enjoying the camp, which has become his second home. He said, “If I gave a rating to Rising Treetops, the rating would be billions of trillions!” Mr. Cotto and fellow client James Hetem performed a musical selection with volunteer Francois Mobasser.
The event was hosted by Sarah Personette and David Paolo at their gracious home in Fair Haven, NJ. Caitlin Bovo, Aimee Frankel and Krista Long served on the Board Planning Committee, with the help of Board President Marilyn Friedman and Board Vice-President Andrew Marrus.
