Pandemic and Volunteers:
Rising Treetops as of January 2023 has resumed most volunteer opportunities, but continues to limit volunteers at our Oakhurst campus to outdoor projects or indoor projects that are not in close proximity to our campers and clients. We require vaccinations for all clients, staff and volunteers. We cannot risk COVID being brought on-site due to the vulnerability of our clients with significant developmental disabilities.
Volunteer Program:
Rising Treetops is always accepting enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to help out with a variety of our needs. Volunteers are welcome to start or maintain a camp project, such as improving and beautifying our campus through painting, cleaning or landscaping projects, or helping (at a safe distance from staff and clients) with a seasonal project (i.e., holiday parties, summer camp theme days). Once all pandemic restrictions are lifted, volunteers ages 16 and over will again be able to work directly with clients in activities under the supervision of our trained staff.
If you are interested in volunteering individually or with a group on a project, please complete our Volunteer Application or contact us first with questions at 732.531.0215 or email us at volunteer@risingtreetops.org.
Once we are able to safely resume our program for volunteers as helping as activity counselors, we will update this section of our website. Once we do, volunteer activity counselors can gain valuable hands-on work experience by helping to plan, organize and help facilitate therapeutic recreational activities for our clients with special needs. Once we again allow this as a volunteer opportunity, the details and process to become a volunteer activity counselor, can be found here.
